BabyNaps AB (”BabyNaps”) processes personal data in accordance with current legislation. This means that BabyNaps protects your personal data by taking the necessary measures, and that you are entitled to contact us at any time to find out what personal data we have stored about you.

You are always welcome to contact us if you have any questions about how we process your personal data. This privacy policy describes how BabyNaps processes your personal data when you use the BabyNaps app (”the App”).

Who is responsible for personal data about you and your child?
BabyNaps AB, company registration no. 559294-7401, is the personal data controller for the processing of personal data about you and your child within the framework of the BabyNaps app and is responsible for ensuring that such processing complies with the law.

How does BabyNaps obtain personal data about you and your child?
BabyNaps collects personal data that you provide to us, or that we obtain when you use the App.

What types of personal data and information are processed?
The App does not require users to create an account or to log in to the App in any other way. Therefore, BabyNaps does not process any personal data about you as a user (such as your name and email address).

When you use the App, you enter your child’s date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD) and your child’s name or nickname. You also have the option to enter information about your child’s sleep routines. BabyNaps does not collect any personal data or user data when you are not using the App. BabyNaps only processes those personal data that are necessary in order for us to provide a functioning service and App.

Information that is not personal data
If you choose to upload a photo of your child in the App, BabyNaps will not process that personal data. Such photos are not covered by the General Data Protection Act (GDPR), but are solely for your own private use. In addition, BabyNaps does not have access or authorization to access your photo.

You have the option to share your child’s sleep schedule with your friends and family. You share only the times from your child’s sleep schedule, and BabyNaps does not process any personal data about you or your child when you do so. When you use the App, BabyNaps collects statistics about how you use the App in your capacity as a user, known as user data, in order to develop our services and improve your experience. Your user data is anonymized, which means that neither BabyNaps, nor any other party, can trace back such user data to you as an individual. Since your user data are anonymized, they are not considered to be personal data and therefore are not covered by the General Data Protection Act (GDPR). The following anonymized user data are collected: the user’s sex and age bracket, the operating system that is used, and the country where the user is located. User data are stored in Google Firebase.

Why does BabyNaps process data about you and your child?
BabyNaps processes personal data about you and your child for the following purposes and on the basis of the legal grounds stated.
  • Personal data: The child’s date of birth/name/nickname
  • Purpose: In order to offer you, in your capacity as user, a sleep schedule for your child based on statistics
  • Legal grounds: Consent
  • Personal data: Data about your child’s sleep that you personally enter in the App
  • Purpose: In order to offer you an even more customized and personal sleep schedule for your child
  • Legal grounds: Consent

When does BabyNaps have the right to process personal data about you and your child?
Because BabyNaps needs to have the right to process information about your child’s date of birth, name/nickname and sleep habits, as guardian you need to give your consent to permit such processing of personal data. You provide your consent to the processing of personal data in the App. You are entitled to withdraw your consent at any time. Read more under the section What Are Your Rights?. BabyNaps may also need to process personal data about you or your child and/or your child’s personal data as a result of legal or regulatory requirements.

Who has access to personal data about you and your child?
All information and all personal data that you enter in the App are only stored and processed locally on your mobile phone. BabyNaps does not have access or authorization to access your personal data and information that you enter in the App and which is stored locally.

We do not disclose personal data to other companies or the authorities unless we are required to do so by law, ordinance, regulations or governmental decision, or to protect our rights or the rights of any third party.

Transfer to third country
As a rule, BabyNaps does not transfer data about you or your child to countries outside the EU/EEA (third countries).

How long does BabyNaps store personal data about you and your child?
BabyNaps only stores personal data about you and your child for as long as is necessary in order for us to fulfill the purpose of the processing in each case. When you delete the App, the personal data and information in general that are saved locally on your device will be deleted.

What are your rights?
You are entitled at any time (free of charge once a year) to request information about what personal data we have stored about you and your child. Your request must be in writing and personally signed and must include information about your name and Swedish personal identity number. We need this information to ensure that we release the data to the right person.

If personal data about you and/or your child are incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant, you may request to have them corrected or deleted. Under certain circumstances, you may also object to BabyNaps’ processing of personal data about you and/or your child.

You may withdraw your consent to allow us to process personal data about you and/or your child at any time.

In certain cases, you are entitled to have information about you and/or your child that you have provided to BabyNaps transferred to another personal data controller (data portability).

The information will be sent to your address as it appears in the population register. You are also entitled to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Data Protection Authority, which is the government agency overseeing the administration of personal data in Sweden.

How are personal data protected?
BabyNaps will take all appropriate technical and organizational measures necessary in each individual case to protect personal information about you and your child and to otherwise ensure that all processing complies with applicable law.

Updating of this privacy policy
BabyNaps revises this Privacy Policy on an ongoing basis. A new version enters into effect when it becomes accessible in the App.
